Delicious and easy-to-make Apple Fritter Bites, perfect for a sweet treat.
Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 ½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
- ¼ tsp salt
- ⅓ cup whole milk
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup peeled & finely diced apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp work best)
- 2 cups vegetable oil (for frying)
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 2–3 tbsp milk (or apple cider for extra flavor)
- ½ tsp vanilla extract (for glaze)
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix milk, egg, and vanilla until combined.
- Pour wet ingredients into the dry mixture and stir until just combined (don’t overmix).
- Fold in the diced apples. Batter will be thick.
- Heat oil in a heavy pot or deep skillet to 350°F (175°C).
- Drop small spoonfuls of batter (about 1 tablespoon each) into the hot oil.
- Fry 2–3 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
- In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk (or cider), and vanilla until smooth.
- Dip each warm fritter bite into the glaze, letting excess drip off.
- Place on a wire rack to set.
Notes
- Use chopped pecans or walnuts in the batter for crunch.
- Add a little maple syrup to the glaze for a fall twist.
- If you don’t want to fry, bake at 375°F (190°C) for 12–15 minutes, then glaze.
