Description

Cheesecake Brownies are a delicious dessert that combines rich chocolate brownies with a creamy cheesecake layer, creating the ultimate indulgence.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup (40g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup (65g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper and lightly grease it.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix melted butter and sugar until smooth.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla, whisk until combined.
  5. Stir in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until no streaks remain.
  6. Pour about 3/4 of the brownie batter into the prepared pan (reserve the rest for swirling).
  7. In another bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  8. Spread the cheesecake mixture evenly over the brownie layer.
  9. Drop small spoonfuls of the remaining brownie batter on top.
  10. Use a knife or skewer to swirl the brownie and cheesecake layers together for a marbled effect.
  11. Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly.
  12. Let cool completely in the pan, then chill for at least 2 hours before slicing for clean cuts.
  13. Slice into squares and serve at room temperature or chilled.
  14. Optional: drizzle with chocolate ganache or dust lightly with cocoa powder.

Notes

  • For extra fudge, underbake slightly and chill before serving.
  • Add chocolate chips or a drizzle of caramel for a fun twist.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
