Description

A delicious and comforting cheesy ground beef rice casserole that is perfect for family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup (or cream of chicken)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Fresh parsley (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Add diced onion and garlic and sauté until softened. Drain excess fat.
  2. Stir in cooked rice, cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, beef broth, paprika, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and ½ cup cheddar cheese. Mix until well combined and creamy.
  3. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Transfer mixture to a greased 9×9 casserole dish. Top with remaining ½ cup cheddar. Bake for 20–25 minutes until hot, bubbly, and cheese is melted.
  4. Garnish with parsley and serve warm as a full meal or side dish.
