A delicious and easy recipe for Cheesy Ranch Potatoes and Smoked Sausage, perfect for a comforting meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs baby potatoes, halved (or diced Yukon Gold)
  • 1214 oz smoked sausage, sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
  • 1 packet (1 oz) dry ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp salt (ranch seasoning already has salt)
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese (mild or sharp)
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella (optional for extra melt)
  • ¼ cup sour cream (optional, for creaminess)
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Wash baby potatoes and cut into halves or quarters. Place potatoes into a large bowl.
  3. Add olive oil, ranch seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, pepper, and salt (if needed). Mix well until all potatoes are evenly coated.
  4. Add the sliced smoked sausage to the bowl and toss everything together.
  5. Spread the mixture onto a greased baking dish or sheet pan. Cover with foil and bake for 35 minutes.
  6. Remove foil, stir, then bake 15–20 minutes more until potatoes are soft and lightly golden.
  7. Sprinkle cheddar + mozzarella evenly over the hot potatoes. Add spoonfuls of sour cream on top (optional). Return to oven for 5–7 minutes until cheese is fully melted and bubbly.
  8. Sprinkle chopped parsley on top and serve warm!

Notes

  • Use fully cooked smoked sausage such as kielbasa, beef sausage, or turkey sausage.
  • For crispier potatoes, broil for the last 2 minutes.
