Description

A rich and indulgent dessert with a molten chocolate center.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 oz dark chocolate
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F and grease two ramekins with butter.
  2. Melt dark chocolate with unsalted butter until smooth and glossy then let cool slightly.
  3. In a bowl whisk eggs with granulated sugar until pale and slightly thick.
  4. Slowly whisk melted chocolate into egg mixture then add vanilla, salt, and flour mixing gently.
  5. Divide batter evenly between ramekins and place on baking tray.
  6. Bake for 11 to 13 minutes until edges are set and centers remain soft then rest for 1 minute before serving.

Notes

  • For a stronger chocolate flavor, use a high cocoa percentage chocolate.
  • Serve immediately for best results, as the center will firm up as it cools.
