Description

A delicious creamy chicken and rice dish baked to perfection.


Ingredients

  • 6 bone in chicken thighs
  • 1 1/2 cups long grain white rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Whisk chicken broth, heavy cream, garlic, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Spread uncooked rice evenly in the dish then pour cream mixture over the rice and dot with butter.
  4. Season chicken thighs with paprika, salt, and pepper on all sides.
  5. Place chicken on top of the rice mixture and cover tightly with foil.
  6. Bake for 45 minutes then uncover and bake 15 to 20 minutes more until rice is tender and chicken cooked through.
  7. Rest briefly, garnish with parsley, and serve warm.

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider marinating the chicken thighs before cooking.
