Description

A delicious and creamy take on ramen noodles, enhanced with spicy sausage and a rich sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 packs of instant ramen noodles (discard seasoning packets)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 12 oz (340 g) smoked sausage or andouille sausage, sliced into rounds
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream (or half-and-half for a lighter option)
  • ½ cup chicken broth (or water)
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese (optional, for extra creaminess)
  • 1 tbsp sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning (or chili powder + paprika)
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp chopped green onions or parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add sausage slices and cook until browned on both sides (about 4–5 minutes). Remove sausage and set aside.
  3. In a small pot, cook ramen noodles in boiling water for 2 minutes (don’t overcook). Drain and set aside — keep them slightly undercooked, as they’ll finish in the sauce.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth. Stir well.
  6. Add cream cheese, sriracha, Cajun seasoning, black pepper, and salt. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  7. Add cooked noodles and sausage back into the skillet. Toss until noodles are fully coated and creamy.
  8. Mix in Parmesan cheese for extra richness.
  9. Top with chopped green onions or parsley. Serve hot and enjoy that creamy-spicy kick!

Notes

  • Adjust the level of sriracha based on your spice preference.
  • For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
  • Feel free to add vegetables like spinach or bell peppers for added nutrition.
