Description
A delicious and creamy take on ramen noodles, enhanced with spicy sausage and a rich sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 packs of instant ramen noodles (discard seasoning packets)
- 2 tbsp butter
- 12 oz (340 g) smoked sausage or andouille sausage, sliced into rounds
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream (or half-and-half for a lighter option)
- ½ cup chicken broth (or water)
- 2 tbsp cream cheese (optional, for extra creaminess)
- 1 tbsp sriracha (adjust to taste)
- 1 tsp Cajun seasoning (or chili powder + paprika)
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ¼ tsp salt (adjust to taste)
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp chopped green onions or parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add sausage slices and cook until browned on both sides (about 4–5 minutes). Remove sausage and set aside.
- In a small pot, cook ramen noodles in boiling water for 2 minutes (don’t overcook). Drain and set aside — keep them slightly undercooked, as they’ll finish in the sauce.
- In the same skillet, melt butter. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth. Stir well.
- Add cream cheese, sriracha, Cajun seasoning, black pepper, and salt. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Add cooked noodles and sausage back into the skillet. Toss until noodles are fully coated and creamy.
- Mix in Parmesan cheese for extra richness.
- Top with chopped green onions or parsley. Serve hot and enjoy that creamy-spicy kick!
Notes
- Adjust the level of sriracha based on your spice preference.
- For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
- Feel free to add vegetables like spinach or bell peppers for added nutrition.
