Ingredients

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup light brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a muffin tin.
- Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat, then mix in the granulated and brown sugars until combined.
- Allow to cool slightly, then whisk in the eggs one at a time along with the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually fold this into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chips and spoon the batter into the prepared muffin tin.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until set; let cool before serving.
Notes
- Serve warm for the best taste.
- Excellent with a dusting of powdered sugar on top.
