Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a muffin tin.
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat, then mix in the granulated and brown sugars until combined.
  3. Allow to cool slightly, then whisk in the eggs one at a time along with the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually fold this into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Stir in the chocolate chips and spoon the batter into the prepared muffin tin.
