Description
Keto Philly Cheesesteak Roll Ups are a delicious low-carb alternative to traditional cheesesteaks, featuring a savory filling wrapped in melted cheese.
Ingredients
Scale
- 16 oz (450g) ground beef
- 1 tbsp olive oil or butter
- ½ medium onion, thinly sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp salt (or to taste)
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp Worcestershire sauce (optional for flavor boost)
- 2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese (or mozzarella for milder flavor)
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced onions and bell peppers, cooking for about 5 minutes until softened.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess grease. Season with garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir well to combine and remove from heat.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place small mounds (about ¼ cup each) of shredded cheese onto the parchment paper, spacing them apart. Bake for 5–7 minutes, or until edges are bubbly and lightly golden. Remove from oven and let the cheese cool for 30 seconds.
- Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the beef and veggie mixture onto one side of each melted cheese circle. Gently roll the cheese over the filling to form a tight roll. Repeat until all are assembled. Optional: Return to the oven for 2–3 minutes to re-melt the cheese and seal the rolls.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm, perfect with a side of cauliflower rice, keto coleslaw, or a fresh salad.
Notes
- Swap ground beef for thinly sliced steak for a more authentic Philly cheesesteak flavor.
- Use provolone or cheddar for a different cheesy twist.
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat in the oven or air fryer.
